Hi Henri!

Thanks for the response, but I have tried releasing and renewing the IP
address and this doesn't change the sites I can reach and not reach.
Also, I have only one router, so this doesn't appear to be an issure
since two other computers work fine. I did try to disconnect the
router and going directly into the cable modem, but again, this did not
solve the problem.

Any other suggestions? It almost seems like there is a file that has
the names and/or addresses of sites I've visited in the past in it that
prevents me from accessing these sites (microsoft's site is one of
them). But I know it's not the HOSTS or LMHOSTS files. Again, I
emptied the cahce, history, cookies, and 'Downloaded Program Files'
files to be sure they weren't the cause. Any others I sould look for?

I'm willing to try anything short of formating and reinstalling.

Thanks for your help.
Dave
