IE hangs when using Find

I have .html document that I usually open with IE 6.0.
When I use Find (Ctrl+F) on the page IE hangs very often.
It happens after a string is put to Find what field and
Find Next button is pressed. But it happens not for every
string for search.
I'm not sure if it the problem with IE or the .html
document itself and I would appreciate it very much if
somebody could advise something concerning this.
