Yes I did see you post but you would be surprise to find out what can still
be found after on trial to remove spywares.

In your post you said
"The my4X4.co.uk site did work briefly yesterday, but stopped today. It
refused to work after hibernating - connection?"

This may help.
Unable to Log on to Web Site or Gain Access to Some Web Site Services
You may not be able to log on to a particular Web site or gain access to
certain services at a particular Web site. The Web site may display a
message that indicates that you must use a supported browser or that your
browser does not support frames, cookies, java, or some other technology
that is supported by the version of IE that you are running.

The AutoDial Procedure Stops If You Quit Internet Explorer
When Internet Explorer performs an AutoDial procedure, the Internet Explorer
window and the Dial-Up Connection dialog box are displayed. If you configure
the AutoDial feature to automatically connect, the AutoDial procedure
starts. When this occurs, you can quit Internet Explorer. If you do this,
the Dial-Up Connection dialog box closes. Because the connection is not
established, the modem dials, negotiates line speed, and then stays
connected until an Internet service provider (ISP) timeout occurs and quits
the connection.
