web page malfunction

I have 3 computers on a local LAN. 2 of the computers run
win98 and the 3rd which is a brand new emachine has winXP.
The XP machine has something funny with it when I view web
pages. For the most part its OK. However, for example if
I go to the ebay site - the home page looks fine but when
I click on the "search" tab the next screen looks funny
like things are spread out and also I see formatting
text which normally should be invisible. Also the entire
page is shifted way to the right side of the screen where
I have to scroll over to it to read it. In fact, I
couldn't even write this note on the XP machine since when
I clicked "new post" nothing happens. Therefore, I had to
write this message from the win98 machine.
Any ideas??
