Save Passwords not working correctly for IE 6.0 XPSP2

For some reason, the Prompt to save passwords doesn't
seem to work. I am running Windows XP Home and IE 6.0
XPSP2. When I go to a site, and put in my user id and
then my password, it askes me if I want to save my
password, but when I go back to the site, neither my user
id or my password are saved. Is there something I can
check to make sure everything is set up correctly. I do
have the following checked under Tools/Internet
Options/Content/AutoComplete:
     Web Addresses
     Forms
User names and passwords on forms
        Prompt me to save passwords
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

             Thanks,
                   Bob
