I'm not an expert, but I was able to get rid of a broswer
hijacker. It's all about finding the offending website in
your Registry Editor in Windows. I found the hijacker
using Spybot Search and Destory -- a freeware, which I
really recommend you get -- but you can find the hijacker
this way:
Click "Start," Click "Run," type in Regedit. This takes
you to Registry Editor. Under the Main director, open the
list and scroll down until your find the web page setting
for your Start page -- this should be the hijacker's web
site. Simply right click and change it to msn.com or
whatever new site you want for your Start page.
I'm FINALLY rid of this pest that has taken me weeks to
figure out!!
