Well, I may as well order the CD, as it is free. BUT, I do have all the
critical updates from the Windows Update Catalog. Also, I have a full
system backup-- just refreshed!
Time will tell whether they update the CD, when THAT becomes necessary.
However, if you or Bear or any MVP should come by insider information, I
promise not to sue.
-- Thanks or Good Luck, There may be humor in this post, and, Naturally, you will not sue, should things get worse after this, PCR pcrrcp@netzero.net "Torgeir Bakken (MVP)" <Torgeir.Bakken-spam@hydro.com> wrote in message news:403354A1.3324CC53@hydro.com... | PCR wrote: | | > "PA Bear" <PABear@mvps.org> wrote: | > > | > > Order the Windows Security Update CD | > > Posted Date: February 17, 2004 | > > | > > The Windows Security Update CD will be shipped to you free of charge. | > > This CD includes Microsoft critical updates released through October | > > 2003 and information to help you protect your PC. | > > (snip) | > | > And what happens when they come out with a new fix... do we get | > a new CD? | | Hi | | I doubt that very much. | | I would think that they update this CD with some interval, e.g. based | on x number of new critical security updates are released since last | revision of the CD.
