After downloading a critical update from Microsoft for
IE6 SP1 I cannot now log in to the computer.

I am running windows 2000 and after the log in screen I
just get a black screen. There are no applications
running, but I can log out and back in in safe mode and
have removed the update to no avail.

Can anyone tell me what is going on?
