So did you change when IE checks for new content?

Internet Options -> General
Temporary Internet Files -> Settings

Microsoft has been clear as mud as to how their automatic setting works.
You might want to try "Every time you start IE" or "Every visit to the
page". If you have a cable/DSL always on connection then use "Every visit".
