some sites won't open

When I go into my school district's webpage, I can get into most of the schools' webpages, but IE gives me an error message so that I have to shut down IE when I try to get into others. I do not have this problem on my computer at work or my other home computer, and I used to be able to get the site from this computer. Sadly, I am the webmaster of one of the sites I cannot get into. Are there settings I should check? Any idea about why this is happening? Thanks
