I recently used Windows Update to install the following
components:
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service
Pack 1 (KB832894)
Windows Blaster Worm Removal Tool (KB833330)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB828028)
Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components (KB832483)
After the install I get the following error whenever I try
to click on a link from a Yahoo search result using IE 6.0
"A Runtime Error has occurred.
Line xxx
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method."
The line number changes with the link.
This does not happen in Netscape 7. I uninstalled the
Blaster Tool and the security update (KB828028) but the
problem still persists. Before, I could click on the links
if I refreshed the page, but now I can't. I can browse
otherwise.
I think I had cookies disabled when I did the update. Could
this have caused a problem? How can I remove the other
updates? They do not appear in the Add/Remove Programs list.
Thanks.
