need help, problem with URLMON.DLL

Can anyone please help with a problem I am having with
Internet Explorer? Whenever I open it up, I get an error
message that says "Explorer has caused an error in URLMON.
DLL. Explorer will now close. If you continue to
experience problems, try restarting your computer." Also
I have to restore my active desktop everytime I close
Internet explorer.

I really hope someone can tell me what to do, thanks very
much.
