Do not share folders or set permissions on the share and NTFS permissions on the folder structure of the shares.

Hi,

Through Group policy iam able to disbale user not allowing them to
access shared folder, like hiding network icon, disbaling RUN, but
the users they open excel file or media player from there they File=>
open=> \\sharedfoler or desktop they access the files, is there any
way to stop or disable .

Administrators can remove all settings you configure. Users should
not have the option to remove your predefined configuration. Normally
they have not the need to be local admin. Also if you have software
that maybe sounds it has to be, you can configure the needed security
permissions for users when you analyze the software with Process
Monitor for example:

Is there any other way to stop them, as user need right to access
some software which is running in there system

Hi,

I am facing a problem with some of my department. Some Users in X
departmet shares folder in such a way that Y departmet can access
it, I want to stop Y departmet users , the Y dept. should not
access share folders shared by other department.

How to stop users, installing softwares, but they should abe to
start and stop IIS, nor they should able to change policy

Can some one help me on the above mentiioned problem
