Using Group Policy to assign Class ID

Can anyone tell me (or send link) how to set a DHCP Class ID with a Group
Policy?
I have created a .bat file that I confirmed works (on the client) to set the
class Id. I copied it to the windows\system folder on a 2003 AD server. Then
I specified it (with complete path) as the logon file to run in group policy
computer settings and user settings (I tried both) but neither worked to set
the class ID.
OK: since I have not relieved a single idea, maybe it can not be done and
I'm on completely the wrong track.
Here is what I'm trying to accomplish. Any thoughts would be appreciated:
I have many salespeople that travel 95% of the time. Since I'm getting low
on IP addresses, I want to make the sales laptop DHCP lease for only one day
so when these people logoff and go on the road their IP will be released
back into the pool instead of them taking their IP with them for the 16 days
that everyone else gets a lease for.
I have already created the Class ID on the DHCP server and it works perfect.
(That's why I'm posting here instead of a server NG because I've already
"mastered" :-) that side. NOW all I need is a way to assign the class ID to
the laptops without "touching" each one individually. I have moved all the
laptop machine accounts into their own OU.
I thought I could do it via Group Policy but maybe I was wrong.
Anyone know how to accomplish this?
