OK, currently it's a log off batch file. I did that assuming that it should run when the user logs off. But, yest it is in a Users OU. So you're saying I should keep it as a log off script, but place it in the Computer Accounts OU? Makes sense. I'll try that. Thanks,

Is your policy applied to an OU that contains user or computer objects? Second, is your script a log off script or a shutdown script? Log off scripts should be applied to OUs that contain user objects since it is a user configuration option, and won't apply to computer objects. If it is a shutdown script, it should be applied to an OU with computer objects.
This is pretty basic stuff, but since you didn't supply any info regarding how you were doing things, we should start with the basics.

I created a logoff scritp that uses the shutdown command to reboot the computers in five seconds and to provide a user message. Double clicking on it on a machine works, so I know the script is correct. But the script never takes effect. Any suggestions of how to force the reboot. I see that I can use gpo to remove/grey out the shutdown command and or the logoff command. If I grey out the log off command, the kids can still choose to restart or shutdown. I only want the option to restart. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jeremy
