Re: vista GPO editor

When GPMC is installed, the GPO tab on the objects in Active Directory Users and Computers does not appear.

Launch the Group Policy Management Console seperately from Administrative Tools.

"Active Directory Users and Computers" and "Group Policy Management Console" are seperate mmc snap-ins.

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.

I've installed that already, but could not find where the group policy stuff was. Via mmc I've added the users and computers and there is no group policy section on the objects.
I'm wondering whether I need to do anything else, for example I had to enable the tools after installation... just wondering if I have missed something.

what is the GPO editor used with Vista to edit domain group policies.

What is that tool called and where do I download it from ?

That's Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT). You need to download that for Vista. In that package, there's you're well-known GPMC.
