Re: Group Pollcy Software Deployment (Transform issue)

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Thanks for the suggestion, Mark. Looks like this will work for applications
assigned under User Configuration, but I'm trying to push the install under
Computer Configuration. When I add the package under computer
configuration\policies\software settings\software installation, after
selecting the MSI, it adds the package to the list. I can then edit the
package, but the buttons mentioned earlier are disabled. The advanced button
on the Deployment tab only gives me a couple advanced deployment options
unrelated to the transform.

Can you add transforms to apps pushed via Computer Configuration?

Unfortunately, the Add button is disabled.

You need to add the MST at the same time, when the MSI is integrated.
You need to use "Advanced" instead of "Assigned" to do so.

Afterwards you can not change any option ... you need to delete the
package an "re-assign" it again with the advanced option.

... and YES, this is totally stupid and nothing logical at all, but
it is like that. Why? Because it is! ;-(
