There is a single XP with SP3 machine in our domain which refused to install any application that has been assigned to it through group policies. It started up as normal but didn't, like the others, automatically load any application which has been assigned to it.

Below are what I'd tried so far (but all were failed to fix the problem):

1. to rebuild the system
2. to disable Windows Firewall
3. to remove the computer from the domain and then rejoin it back

Please suggest me what need to check?

Perform rsop.msc on the client to see if the policy is applied by the machine. Is the piece of software assigned to computers? Is the machine in the OU the Software Installation policy is linked to?

cheers,

Florian
