Well, I get access denied when running the RSOP GUI in MMC, and a similar
error when checking WMI, plus I cannot use any WMI based inventory programs.
I will search for DCOM security to see if that might be it. Thanx for the
input!

Mike-
How did it screw up WMI? Sounds like a DCOM security setting--that will do
it every time.

Thanx Darren! The other GPO clean up script will come in handy also - I
have somehow made a GPO setting that screws up WMI and none of the
experts I have shown the GPO to can figure out what part if it doing it!

Mark is a comedian :)
You can use GPMC scripts to do this or if you are PowerShell inclined,
you can use my free GPMC cmdlets quite easily. Specifically:
get-SDMgpo * will return a list of all GPOs in the domain, including
names. You can even use PowerShell to output that list to a text file
and then use it as input for the new-SDMgpo cmdlet to create them in the
new domain.

We are merging into another domain, and I need to give them a list of

Thanks for sharing this interesting und usefull information.
