Folder Redirection - File moved from the desktop to the recycle bin disapear

I am using Folder Redirection via Group Policy to redirect my users My Documents Folder and Desktop. If a users places an item in the recycle bin from the Desktop it is deleted from the recycle bin instantly. If the user places an item in the recycle bin from the My Documents folder it resides in the recycle bin until the user empties the Recycle Bin. I have three policies that are performing this folder redirection. One policy for each physical location. The policy at each location redirects to the local file server. This problem is isolated to WindowsXP and we are running all the latest SP's and Patches. On Windows Vista if I delete a file from my Desktop or My Documents it remains in the Recycle Bin as expected.
Here is the policy
Windows Settings
Folder Redirection
Desktophide
Setting: Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location)
Path: \\fileserver\UserFiles\%USERNAME%\Desktop
Options
Grant user exclusive rights to Desktop Enabled
Move the contents of Desktop to the new location Enabled
Policy Removal Behavior Leave contents
My Documents
Setting: Basic (Redirect everyone's folder to the same location)
Path: \\fileserver\UserFiles\%USERNAME%\My Documents
Options
Grant user exclusive rights to My Documents Enabled
Move the contents of My Documents to the new location Enabled
Policy Removal Behavior Leave contents
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Heith
