Thanks for your response. I still have one question though. After I delegated a specific OU to a given user, I created a sub-OU in the delegated OU and named it Computers. I delegated the delegated account the right to create computer accounts. I created a computer account in the OU in question. But when I tried to log onto the domain from one of the client computers (with the newly created account) it would not authenticate with the domain until I deleted the computer account that I created in the OU in question. I then logged locally onto the client computer and added it back onto the domain with the delegated account. I however noticed that the new computer account was created in the Built-in COMPUTERS OUs. Is there a way to create the computer account directly into the relevant OU? Or if I create the computer account in the desired OU, is there a way I can make the client authenticate successfully onto the domain?

How did you go about it? You named the client computer "machine1" and created a exactly named the same computer account in the OU? After the creation of the AD account, you tried to join the computer to the domain?

cheers,

Florian
