Well good luck Jake, I hope it works for you. Can't say I managed to get the
proxy settings to take using GPOs with IE7. For some reason all of the other
settings I set for IE7 are pushed out, but the proxy settings just won't go
out and I can't work out why. The same GPO works fine for IE6, but not IE7.
I've also noticed something else now and not sure if they are related in
some odd way. IE7 is now treatings sites that are defined in our "trusted"
sites as "internet" sites. This is really odd. More head banging nights
ahead of me I think. :(

Yes, but in the 1st solution I found some time ago, you need to implement
2 other things aswell:
- an extension on Firefox to "take a look inside the registry"
- a login/logoff script to im-/export all userpref.js settings
into the registry and back again.
:-(
The other solution that came up, was
http://www.frontmotion.com/Firefox/fmfirefox.htm
if I remember it right, they create an own FirefoxMSI, that had integrated
the changes I mentioned above.
Here are some further links I found some time ago, as I was searching
for a solution, but I never found one satisfying.
