router. I put in a static address for the server and GP updated. When I
looked at the ipconfig dns and finally saw the address was x.x.x.1 and not
x.x.x.10. (opps, over sight on my part)

Ok, where is the DC pointed to for DNS? How many domain controllers
do you have?
Disjoining and rejoining the machine to the domain would rule out

Enable userenv debugging on the client machine and try to reproduce
the issue. I'm still leaning towards DNS

Good job in the troubleshooting steps and thank you for posting the
resolution.
If we all posted the resolutions that were successful and what we did
