Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance
For some reason I am getting a number servers giving me this error, The
solution is to grant the NETWORK SERVICE account write permissions on two
registry keys
(I can't remember the KB article number that gives this solution).
Rather than go to 100 servers, I want to use Group Policy to add these
permissions to the registry.
I found article
http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/1687ef1d-b382-49c7-b184-a4cc888be5251033.mspx?mfr=true
which gives instructions on how GPO can be used to deploy permissions on
registry keys
BUT
The Network Service account resides in the SAD of the local machine i.e. it
is not a domain account.
My questions is "How can I specify in the GPO, to apply a registry
permission on a local account" ?
TIA
Bob
