Since this setting is in the Computer Configuration part of the GPO, it will apply to the computers whos computer account is in the scope of the GPO regardless of where the logged on user's account is defined.
Loopback processing is not relevant in this case because the setting is per computer, not per user.

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.

Hi there,
I plan on adding a group policy to all domain computers that makes it so they never restart after a windows update. Everyone finds it very annoying.
I wanted to do this:
Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/
Windows Update/No auto-restart for scheduled Autimatic Updates
installations
Everyone computer is on the domain however not all user accounts are on the domain - some will have NT accounts. Therefore am i right in saying the loopback will not work and this policy will therefore not work for everyone?
Thanks
Is there another way to stop the auto restarting, some other tool that i could use until all user accounts are migrated over.
.
