Be certain you are dealing with the real Administrator account. Possibly
someone renamed the real one and created another fake one with the
Administrator name. Look for the real Administrator SID to make sure which
account you are working with.

I have "inherited" a problem on a 2003 Server (not a DC). Someone along the
line diminished the administrator account's rights to next to nothing. Is
there an easy way to restore the administrator accounts rights back to
default? I have KB article # 313222, but that refers to XP Pro, can't
find
anything on server 2003...
