Re: Default Domain Policy settings

Hi,

You can run RSoP which will give you the settings that are set on the
machine from Group Policy and the Policy name itself that the
machine/user is getting the settings from.

Good luck

I didn't think about doing it that way. I think that can work, but I'd have
to do that after hours to minimize any risk of user impact.

Thanks!

Hi!

You can backup GPO settings with GPMC, restore default policy, check default
settings and create new GPO with changed settings. Is this an option?

Hello!

Restoring isn't an option right now, as I need to identify what settings
have been added and place those into a new Policy.

Thanks, though.

Hi!

If you want to restore Default Domain Policy setting, you can use
dcgpofix.exe.
All changes to DDP will be lost.

Hello all!

I've been going through my company's Group Policy Objects and working
on a
way to "redeploy" them to allow for more flexability. I happen to have
noticed that the Default Domain Policy had been added to. While I can
understand why this person did so, we are in a position that I need to
seperate some of the settings out.

While I am working on this, I would like to keep the "default" GPO
settings
active and place any added settings into their own policies. Does
Microsoft
have an article someplace that provides the default domain policy
settings,
so that I may reset this as I go?

Thanks!
