problems with restricted groups

Hello All,
I previously posted issues I was having with restricted groups and local
built-in admins accounts. After resolving that issue, I now seem to have a
problem with the local remote desktop users being used for my domain staff
admin group. I essentially thought that making the domain group part of the
local administrators group they would essentially have access to rdp
connections on those workstations. I created a new group (in Restricted
Groups>add group) called Remote Desktop Users and adding my domain groups
appropriately.

After adding this group in the GPO and after doing a RSOP on a workstation
in that particular OU I can see that the settings HAVE taken effect. Yet,
when I try to use a remote connection to the machine it states that "you are
not able to logon due to account restrictions". When I use compmgmt.msc to
view local users and groups on that workstation I can see that all domain
groups are appropriately placed within the designated local groups, that is
administrators and remote desktop users. I have searched online and most
feedback states that for RDP connections you cannot have "null" passwords,
yet none of my domain users have any blank passwords. Are there any other
settings in the GPO that have to be changed relating to remote desktop
connectivity, such as account policies or network logon?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks
Altria
