Folder Redirection

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

I've run into an issue where I have to give the user Full Control of their
"My Documents" folder on the server, before the WinXP machine will process
the folder redirection GPO. I get an error 112 that refers to the
desktop.ini file in their documents folder on the server.

I can easily set Full Control and move on for our staff members, but I work
for a school system and would like to do this for our students as well. In
the past we have given students Full Control and Ownership of their own
folders. This has caused us lots of problems as student will monkey with
the permissions on their folders and prevent access to legitimate users. We
want staff to be able to read what's in their folders. For now, I've given
each student Modify permissions for his/her folder to prevent this problem.

So, how can I make folder redirection work for My Documents without giving
users FC of their folder on the server?
