Try entering the path
\\server\share\foldername\%username%\My Documents
This is how my folder redirection is set up and it works for me.

I am attempting to redirect My Documents to
"\\server\share\foldername\username\My Documents" through GPOs and I
find myself getting odd errors.
I set up the GPO to do the Basic redirection along with "Create the
folder for each user..." and entered "\\server\share\foldername" for
the path. From what I have gathered, Server 2003 automatically appends
"%username%\My Documents" to the end of the path. I tried entering
"\\server\share\foldername\%username%" and I got an error saying it was
an invalid path, so I can only assume that %username is not required in
the path.
So everything looks good, except when i test it, I get 2 entries in the
Event Log...
Event ID 108: Aborting redirection of folder My Documents. The new
folder path cannot be a subdirectory of the current path. The folder is
configured to be redirected to "\\server\share\foldername\username\My
Documents". Files were to be moved from
"\\server\share\foldername\username\My Documents" to
"\\server\share\foldername\username\".
Event ID 1000: The Group Policy client-side extension Folder
Redirection was passed flags (0) and returned a failure status code of
(1235).
With Event ID 108, it is "obvious" what is happening... I am somehow
trying to redirect My Documents to a subdirectory of My Documents...?
*insert confused look here* I don't see how trying to redirect My
Documents to "\\server\share\foldername" is trying to redirect My
Documents to "\\server\share\foldername\username\My Documents\My
Documents".
Has anyone else seen this type of behavior? Or can see what I am doing
wrong?
Thanks in advance...
