Display GPO Settings: GPMC 1.0.2 Bug?
Have created security templates for different servers with the security
configuration wizard SCW and converted them into GPO's.
Had then verified the GPO's and found that a lot of setting configured are
not displayed in the GPMC Console. Thought that are bugs in the SCW (it
seems that nobody uses it, according NG posts). But found then that all
settings are correct in the GPO!
They are displayed correctly when editing the GPO, but NOT when displaying
the settings in the GPMC Console, NOR when saving the GPO Settings as a HTML
file in GPMC. The biggest difference are that the startup mode of a lot of
services (about 100) definied in the GPO and displayed correctly in the GPO
Editior, but when verifying the settings in the GPMC, there is not one
configured service visible!
Have created another SCW template on another server, converted it to a GPO.
Same result/behaviour.
Is that a known bug? Is the number of settings that GPMC can handle limited?
Thank you all for any advice
Franz
