It really is a good idea to keep password complexity enabled to help
secure your network. Having said that to disable password complexity make
sure you do it in Domain Security Policy assuming you are not using
another GPO linked to the domain container that is higher in the priority
list to manage password/account policy. Be sure to set it to disabled
and not undefined. Then try running gpupdate /force on the domain
controller.

Hi All,
I am unable to create a user on a newly installed Win2K3 AD. I end up
with this error after entering the user details and clicking Finish:
'Windows cannot set the password for <user> because:
The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check
minimum password lenght, password complexity and password history
requirements.'
I have disabled 'password policy' and 'password complexcity' in the
Account Policy but i'm still getting the same error when creating a new
user.
Anyone here came accross this issue? Do you have any solution?
Thanks in advance,
Garry
