Re: Event ID 1085 and Microsoft Disk Quota

I missed the earliest part of this thread but it sounds like you have some
problems with machines that are processing the Disk Quota policy defined in
Admin. Templates? Disk Quota is a peculiar bird because, even though it is
defined under admin templates, it is not processed by the registry policy
CSE. Rather, it is processed by a separate Disk Quota CSE. This Disk Quota
CSE is registered under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\GPExtensions\{3610eda5-77ef-11d2-8dc5-00c04fa31a66}.
I wonder if you could look in there and see what it says? One possible,
drastic solution to this is to simply unregister the Disk Quota CSE from any
machines having problems. This would involve deleting the registry key
listed above. After you do that, Disk Quota policy will simply not process
but perhaps the problem in the first place is that the registration listed
above is bad?
