Distributing Software Using Group Policy
Q. How do I set the priority of installation?
A. The software installation extension assigns a Globally Unique
Identifier (GUID) to each application. Applications are then installed in
GUID order without any preference.

Hi Robert,
First of all... that's a VERY good question :o)
My guess is, that the package with the lowest ID (GUID) will be processed
first... But I really dont know...
What I do know, is that I always make one GPO for each application. It
makes it a lot easier to test a single application, if anything fails.
And lots of other stuff... changing the deployment order, applying WMI
filters, using group filtering ect.
I know i didn't answer your question, but I hope you could use my input
anyway...

I am installing software using group policy. In the tool that lets you add
software packages to the group policy you can see everything in
alphebetical order, but you can't seem to see the order of deployment.
Is there a way to see this using any programs, or accessing a text file?
Thanks
