Re: Security policy locking out winlogon for user.



I guess you could do a little jury rigging. You will have to play with
computer settings rather than user settings because the user will never
login. I would apply "Deny Logon Locally" found in [Computer
Configuration]->[Windows Settings]->[Security Settings]->[Local
Policies]->[User Rights Assignment] to all the computers you don't want this
user to be able to logon to. I am pretty sure this will still allow you to
access network shares. Give it a shot.

I dont want to lock out a user. the user is still suppoed to be able to
access a certain dfs share. I just want to prevent that user from logging
into the
domain from windows logon screen, from any pc in that domain. i tried
"deny
network logon to this computer" setting in both the Domain security
policy,
and Domain controller security policy. No luck.
