XP and the f***ing asynchronus start up.
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon\
Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon.

do a manual gpupdate after setting this policy or wait 90 minutes.
Otherwise you will have this chicken and egg problem: if the
client doesn´t know that he has to wait, how should this setting
be applied?
