Re: "Simple file sharing" in group policies?

- load the ADM, configure it

Sorry for beeing impertinent, but I would like to get this issue clarified.
First, couldn't you just as well use the "built in" policy,
setting 177 on the "Security Settings WinXP; WS2003" -tab in the GP
Reference:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7821C32F-DA15-438D-8E48-45915CD2BC14&displaylang=en
I.E:
MMC -> Computer Configuration
-> Windows Settings -> Security Settings
-> Local Policies -> Security Options
-> "Network Access: Sharing and security model for local accounts"
-> "Classic - local users authenticate as themselves"

This is the same registry setting as in your .adm-file.
????????????????????????????????????????????

- create a OU and link the GPO to it

Second, the Reference says:
"Important: This setting only affects computers running Windows XP
Professional which are not joined to a domain."
AFAICS it should not matter if you use an .adm-file you made yourself, or
the built in setting since contains the same registry setting.
This seems to be a LGPO only setting.
