Group Policy for System Reboot

I have written a schedule task command to reboot workstations at a
particular time during the night. I created a GPO and linked this batch file
under the following section:

Computer Configuration \ Windows Settings \ Scripts \ StartUp

I placed this GPO on a test GPO and tried testing it on an XP box which is
attached to this test GPO

I see the following event logs (Application and System) when this batch file
is run everyday and it looks that it is executing.

System Event Log

Event Type: Information
Event Source: USER32
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1074
Date: 2/22/2006
Time: 11:30:00 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: BIMBO
Description:
The process winlogon.exe has initiated the restart of BIMBO for the
following reason: No title for this reason could be found
Minor Reason: 0xff
Shutdown Type: reboot

Application Log

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1058
Date: 3/8/2006
Time: 11:33:31 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: WRA216-02244STF
Description:
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO
cn={3EC2F587-23D1-46AF-B87B-E090E10DE180},cn=policies,cn=system,DC=xyz,DC=ab
c,DC=tech. The file must be present at the location
<\\xyz.abc.tech\SysVol\xyz.abc.tech\Policies\{3EC2F587-23D1-46AF-B87B-E090E1
0DE180}\gpt.ini>. (The system cannot find the path specified. ). Group
Policy processing aborted.

My questions are:

1. Looking at the system log it looks that the system has rebooted. Am I
correct? If so why is it showing the event ID 1058 in Application Log?
2. I linked the same GPO to the other OU's where the workstations need to be
rebooted. The day I had this GPO in place for the other rooms, it looks that
I have the Event ID 1074 at around 11:30pm and it has rebooted, but after
that I do not see event ID 1074 at all. I have done GPUPDATE /FORCE and
infact 2 rooms we have even rebooted the workstations for the GPO to take
effect.

Please, any help or anything that I have been missing would help me to get
this issue resolved. Thanks in advance
