Windows task bar does show loaded programs icons and IE6 keeps crashing on me!

Hi,
I've been browsing the windows help file for a while now and cannot
figure out how to fix this problem!! Has it ever happened to you? Can
you help me fix this?

SIMPLY PUT: since last Friday maybe , the taskbar doesn't show the
icons of the opened programs anymore. I have tried all the options in
the toolbar menu of the taskbar as well as in the taskbar properties,
tried resizing the taskbar, tried moving the toolbars of the taskbar
and could not see what else to try. Oh, I scanned for spywares with
Spybots after udating it to see if it could fix the prob (I was
desperate then! :) )
I also noticed maybe two to three days later that the links in my IE6
links toolbar were put back in alphabetical order... I don't know if
there can be a link between the two things but I thought it could be
since it's all under explorer management( OR not I don't care :) )
IMPORTANT I did not install programs recently or changed a
configuration anywhere. Not on purpose anyway... and I usually know
what I am doing... :)
And I d not know if it is connected to the first problem or not but I
have another symptom:
IE6 crashing on me everytime I type something without the HTTP:// FTP:
or www.
For instance internet explorer will crash when I want to
connect to my wireless router for setup. ( 192.168.2.1 ) unless I type
HTTP://192.168.2.1
it will crash if I type anything non-sense like "asdfasdgas"
.
