Hello M,
Group Policy is processed initially at startup and logon
additionaly it is periodically refreshed in the background every 90 minutes
with random offset of 30 minutes (for DCs gpo processing occures every 5 mins)
you can change these values using gpo:
To change the policy refresh interval setting, edit the Default Domain
Controllers Group Policy object, which is linked to the Domain Controllers
organizational unit. The Group Policy Refresh Interval for Computers setting
is located under Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Group
Policy node.
Group Policy Refresh Interval for Domain Controllers setting is available
under Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Group Policy
node.
and
moreover refresh can be triggered manually via command-line utility
gpudate.exe using syntax gpupdate /force you can force reapplying all gpo
settings
type gpupdate /? for full command description and options
keep in mind than not all settings can be refreshed in the background or
using gpupdate. the settings that require restart are Software Installation
and Folder Redirection
