Mulitple Group Policies or not?

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi all,

I'm looking into implementing Group Policy across my domain and am
looking for some advice in the best way to do so.

Many of the settings that I push out through GP are global to the
domain, for example, the home page that I set everyone's IE to, local
security, etc. Some settings are dependant on location, such as
installed printers, and I will attach these GP's to OU's.

Should the global settings be set in the Default Domain Policy? Or
should I attach these at OU level also?

What is the best set up for speed of processing?

Thanks in advance.
