Re: XP Client in 2k3 domain

Hi Thanks for the input so far. I have connected to the PC and tried a
few more things and I still do not have it working properly.

Here is the event Viewer Message...
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1054
Date: 10/11/2005
Time: 11:40:59 AM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: Computer1
Description:
Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer
network. (The specified domain either does not exist or could not be
contacted. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I ping the domain controller and it responds. I then browsed to
domain.com\sysvol\domain.com and could connect to it.

I did a ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig /registerdns.

The PC is in the same OU as other PCs that are all getting the Group
Policies.

The DHCP info is all correct.

Here is the failure notice from GPResult on the server side.
