OK. Since you are using logon scripts be sure to disable fast logon
optimization in XP Pro as described in the link below.

If you are still having problems verify that your DNS is configured
correctly for the domain as explained in the link below and run the support
tools netdiag, dcdiag, and gpotool on your domain controllers and run
netdiag on a couple of domain workstations that are having the problem.
Those tools will do a variety of tests for network connectivity, dns, dc
discovery, secure channel, replication, etc. --- Steve
