Rather than just putting it back to 'Not Configured', did you follow the
built-in advice and set it to 'redirect to local profile' ?
Once everyone has had THAT policy instruction applied to their account, you
should be safe to set it to 'Not Configured' again.
If you don't do that, everyone will still have the redirection settings in
their registry.
