Applying XP group policy setting in Windows 2000 Active Directory

I am attempting to apply software restriction policies on my xp machines in a
Windows 2000 Active Directory environment. I can apply these settings locally
on machines but would like to do so using Group Policies applied at the
Organisational Unit level from a Win2K domain controller.
Windows 2000 does not cater for all the policies contained in XP. To
overcome this problem I followed the instructions found in the document
entitled "Managing Windows XP in a Windows 2000 Server Environment". To
summarise I simply imported the .adm files from an XP machine into an
existing group policy (via the "Add Remove Templates" option) on a domain
controller. My understanding was that doing this would give me the option to
set additional policies available to XP from my Win2K server. The result is
that some extra options do exist (Windows Media Player settings for example)
but I still do not have any setting for Software Restriction Policies.
Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks
.
