Hello
If dell is like most boards, any USB ports that are not physically wired
into the motherboard are connected via wires to the mainboard. the easy
solution then being to pull the wires out to the USB ports you dont need.
Sometimes theres a setting in the bios to say "only use 2 usb ports, or 4"
out of say 6, but I do not know if dell does that.
another soultion is to fill the ports you dont need with glue from a glue
gun. it should be fairly easy to remove if you wish to repurpose the
workstations in the future.
of course theres nothing to stop the people from just plugging in their
thumbdrive to the mouse port and unplugging the mouse.
