Re: Can't reregister appmgmts.dll

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

What is the full text description you are getting with the 1085 error? Is
it this:
"The Group Policy client-side extension Software Installation failed to
execute. Please look for any errors reported earlier by that extension. For
more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.";

If so, do you see any other errors from either MSI or another installer in
the applications event log?
