Re: Using "Group" Policy with workgroup PCs



Local Group Policy applies to all users that logon to the computer as you
found. There are a couple of workarounds as shown in the links below to
prevent local GP from applying to administrators or a group. There is no way
to propagate Local Group Policy from one computer to another, you really
need a domain controller to manage Group Policy centrally. Some have
reported success copying the reg.pol from the Windows\system32\group
policy\user folder from a baseline computer to other computers. I have not
tried it myself to see if it works. --- Steve
