Hi,

Problem :- Zen deployed policies, I've found that if the machine doesn't
have the exact same ADM's as the policy was created on the machine will not
have an effective policy applied. As soon as I replace the grouppolicy/
grouppolicy.wksoriginal/ grouppolicy.wmcache and the ones in the INF
directory the machines work. ?

Question...
Are the ADM files backward compatiable, with the exception of the Media
player one(2k wmp.adm to xp wmplayer.adm), I've had a bit of a look at them
and they seem to be written to be able to be used on older systems.

I know you get an error when opening gpedit.msc if the ADMs are of a newer
type , but users dont do this any way.

My problem is I have an very large fleet of many different OS builds of 2k
and XP and the ADM's are so many different types it makes you cry. So what I
was going to to is deploy the Wxp sp2 adm to all machines replacing all
current ADM so everybody was the same before I applied a policy to all types
of OS 2k and xp.

Is this a good or bad approach. ?
