So I did the following and it worked flawlessly.
I created a directory (\temp\desktop) and set it so that users only had Read
access.
Created a GPO and set folder redirection:
-Basic redirection
-Redirect to given location (remember, read access so the redirection
cannot create a directory or it will fail, it must just go to the specified
location)
-Specify above created directory
-Uncheck Exclusive access checkbox (second tab)
-Uncheck 2nd checkbox (cant remember off hand what it said, but I think it
had something to do with creating something?)
Logon as the user.
Redirection worked and I could not add any files to the desktop - access
denied.
